Some weddings are so beautiful and opulent, that they leave you gasping for air!
And the celebratory muslim wedding of Naushin & Lamaan was no different.
With all the ceremonies drenched in sheer love and the couple’s wedding wardrobe boasting of some top-notch designs – their nuptials were truly an extraordinary affair. Each frame was a visual delight to capture.
Naushin & Lamaan reached us while they were in Canada on a conference call, and we vibed with them instantly.
The couple had planned a Mehndi and Sangeet night outdoors with a lavish decor but the Rain Gods had other plans, so it was shifted indoors in a rather intimate setting.
The friends and family performed their hearts out with amazing dance numbers for the lovely couple right after the ladies of the house performed the mehndi rituals which were full of warmth and blessings for the bride and groom to be.
The next day we witnessed and were humbled to be a part of the most gorgeous Nikah ceremony, which is the primary wedding ritual performed by a Maulvi.
Earlier that day, Mehak was present with Naushin as she and her family were getting ready for the big day. She spent a few hours with them to capture the nitty gritty and the bridal essentials. Similarly Ashmeet was with the groom Lamaan, where he shot his sehra ceremony and the happiness of their family while they got him ready followed by happy dances.
The venue – Taj Mahal Hotel, was fabulously decorated with roses, white mogra and lots of candle lamps.
After the groom and the bride made their entry , they were kept separate from each other.
Prayers from the Quran were recited by the Maulvi, and then he asked both of them to consent, to which they said “Qubool Hai” thrice and gave their consent.
The bride and groom finally looked at each other that too, through a mirror kept in between them. This was after the wedding, but still a part of wedding rituals, its called ”Arsi Mushraf”.
This was followed by the friends and family congratulating and blessing the newly married. We took some portraits of families of both sides and were able to sneak the couple away to take a few portraits amongst the goofy expressive shots that they loved giving us.
Thank you Lamaan and Naushin for trusting in us and having us over to be the official photographers for the biggest and best days of your lives. It was overwhelming to spend time with you and everyone in the family. Thank you for all the love.
