Akanksha & Vikas – the college-time sweethearts, who tied the knot on Dec 7, 2019.
‘They intersected at one point in their lives and now are parallel till infinity.’
Akanksha is a person who likes relaxed vacations, is slightly laid back when it comes to adventure, whereas Vikas is poles apart from her in this aspect. He keeps organising the most difficult of treks and loves the adventure.
Akanksha told us she loves hanging out with Vikas as much as she enjoys spending time with her group of friends as she never has to pretend to be someone else with him and could just be herself. This was the time when they were exploring more about each other.
As Vikas says, the spark had always been there but it took them time to realise that the spark was instead the fire and they were meant to be together.
They have always had a long distance relationship, and as Akanksha claims their dating period was always ‘on and off’.
The deciding factor for them was a Chandrashila trek they happen to go together and mid way Akanksha had almost given up and Vikas didn’t have much hopes of her completing the trek too but to his surprise she did it and that was the moment it struck him that she is the one and he was like, ”that’s my girl”.
Their wedding was spread over 3 days of events, including all the hindu wedding rituals and all kinds of fun and frolic.
Akanksha’s Mehndi was a vibrant setup with traditional umbrellas, kaanch ki choodiyaan as mehndi favours, and genda fool backdrops. The same day in the evening the couple exchanged rings and had their sangeet ceremony with friends and family having a superb time when the danced till they dropped. The next day started from Chooda, Ghadi Ghadoli to the getting ready sessions of the bride and the groom till the wedding ceremony and eventually vidai of the bride.
We at Studio Finesse as their official photographers couldn’t have wished to be around better people all those days. Akanksha and Vikas have always been the sweetest and most humble to our team. We made great friends while we shot their pre wed portrait session in the Railways Museum. We are extremely thankful to them for sharing their heartfelt stories with us and trusting us with the responsibility of creating everlasting memories for them. We wish them heaps of love and years of togetherness.
